About Frances Stewart
I hold the Diploma in Garden Design from Garden Design School at University of Bristol Botanic Gardens, having graduated in 2017. I studied under Robin Templar Williams and Moira Farnham, both of whom are extremely experienced and highly regarded in the industry and have national and international reputations.
Gardening has been a love of mine for more years than I care to mention. In 2015 it changed from a huge hobby to a business when I set up ‘Fran the Gardener'. The business became successful very quickly and when clients kept asking me to do design work in their gardens, I decided to study garden design formally.
High level of service
My previous career was all about organisational development, people, project and contract management. I find all these skills and experience extremely valuable in my garden design work, too, and they mean I can offer a high level of service to my clients. Building great working relationships with clients, partners and contractors is integral to the way I work.
How I work
I carry out all design work and consultations. My style is collaborative which has proven to be the most effective way of arriving at the right solutions for my clients. You can be as involved as you want to be and I will provide the creativity, the drawings, the expertise and the warmth, so you can feel relaxed and confident.
